Teacher Recruitment International (Aust) provides a teacher placement service for International Schools in Asia, Middle East, Europe and South America, working with over 350 International and private schools.
Opportunities will arise in these schools leading up to the start of the next international school academic year in August and when needed throughout the year.
International Schools are high fee paying private schools which cater, predominantly, for the children of expatriate families. All instruction is in English and most schools are managed by an elected board. The schools are generally very well equipped and seek the best teachers from other countries, including UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The majority of schools we assist cater for students from 3-18 years, range in size from 20 to 3,000 students and serve expatriate communities. All instruction is in English.
Most schools operate on a Northern Hemisphere school calendar year; hence the majority of teacher selections occur between November and June with appointments beginning August/September. There are very few schools which operate on an Aust/NZ school year and seek teachers to begin in January. Situations do arise (increase in enrolments, unexpected vacancies) when schools require placements in January and at other times of the year.
International schools, like all schools, require teachers who are enthusiastic, flexible in their approach to teaching, use current methodology and have a commitment to excellence. For this reason they will only employ teachers who meet their stringent selection criteria.
